This prestigious competition celebrates forward-thinking designs that push the boundaries of creativity and sustainability in the built environment. According to the judging panel, LL House stood out for its exceptional integration with the natural landscape, innovative design approach, and sustainable strategies that responded to the site’s unique topography.
The jury noted that “LL House demonstrates a seamless integration with its mountainous surroundings, presenting a sculptural, monolithic form that feels as though it emerged organically from the site itself." The fragmented prism design not only allows for an exploration of spatial relationships but also fosters a sense of discovery as one moves through the house. The judges were particularly impressed by the “bold use of concrete blocks” in the façade, which “create a timeless and ancient character while maintaining a strong connection to the landscape.”
The LL House responds to its environment in a way that enhances the living experience, and as one juror remarked, “The sense of isolation and tranquility achieved through the use of light, texture, and volume is extraordinary.” The house's thoughtful design creates open communal areas that are balanced by more intimate, secluded spaces, offering a wide range of experiences within a single home.
The extensive use of glass, large windows, and strategic openings provides ample natural light while maintaining privacy, which the judges praised for its “sensitive approach to creating a connection with the outdoors without compromising on the residents' seclusion.” The integration of gardens, courtyards, and strategic views not only allows for a strong visual connection with nature but also promotes the use of sustainable building practices, aligning with the goals of the 4 Future Awards.
The L-shaped layout, which opens towards scenic views, was highlighted as “a masterful response to the site’s topography” by the jury. This layout provides an open connection to the views, yet carefully frames intimate moments, making LL House a model for contemporary residential architecture.
Overall, the jurors concluded that “LL House represents the ideal fusion of form and function, blending seamlessly with its natural surroundings while pushing the boundaries of architectural design.”

RA! fue galardonado con el premio Mejor de lo Mejor en la categoría de Arquitectura Residencial en los 4 Future Awards 2025 por su proyecto LL House. Esta competencia internacional destaca los diseños más innovadores que rompen los límites de la creatividad y la sostenibilidad en la arquitectura. Según el jurado, LL House destacó por su integración excepcional con el paisaje natural, su enfoque innovador y las estrategias sostenibles que respondieron a la topografía única del sitio.
El jurado destacó que “LL House demuestra una integración perfecta con su entorno montañoso, presentando una forma escultórica y monolítica que parece haber surgido orgánicamente del mismo terreno”. El diseño de prismas fragmentados no solo permite explorar las relaciones espaciales, sino que también fomenta un sentido de descubrimiento a medida que se transita por la casa. Los jueces se sintieron particularmente impresionados por el “atrevido uso de bloques de concreto” en la fachada, que “crean un carácter atemporal y antiguo, mientras mantienen una fuerte conexión con el paisaje”.
LL House responde a su entorno de una manera que potencia la experiencia habitacional, y como comentó un jurado, “El sentido de aislamiento y tranquilidad logrado mediante el uso de luz, texturas y volumen es extraordinario”. El diseño de la casa ofrece áreas comunes abiertas, equilibradas por espacios más íntimos y aislados, lo que genera una experiencia diversa dentro de un solo hogar.
El extenso uso del vidrio, las grandes ventanas y las aberturas estratégicas ofrecen abundante luz natural mientras mantienen la privacidad, lo cual fue elogiado por los jueces por su “enfoque sensible en crear una conexión con el exterior sin comprometer la privacidad de los residentes”. La integración de jardines, patios y vistas estratégicas no solo permite una fuerte conexión visual con la naturaleza, sino que también promueve el uso de prácticas de construcción sostenible, alineándose con los objetivos de los 4 Future Awards.
La distribución en forma de L, que se abre hacia las vistas panorámicas, fue destacada como “una respuesta magistral a la topografía del sitio” por parte del jurado. Esta distribución crea una conexión abierta con las vistas, pero también enmarca momentos íntimos, haciendo de LL House un modelo de la arquitectura residencial contemporánea.
En general, los jueces concluyeron que “LL House representa la fusión ideal de forma y función, fusionándose perfectamente con su entorno natural, mientras empuja los límites del diseño arquitectónico”.
